SAIC Volkswagen has notified dealers that all new EA211 and EA888 China VI engines must run an approved VW 50800 / VW 50900 0W-20 low-viscosity oil; oils that do not match the specified grade must not be used. Responsibility for vehicle faults or component damage caused by a non-conforming oil rests with the dealer. Because China VI vehicles are sensitive to oil specification, we recommend using the lubricant recommended by the manufacturer.
